English Toffee

English Toffee Recipe

2 Cups Butter

2 Cups Sugar

1/4 Cup Water

2 Tbsp Karo Syrup

2 Cups Milk Chocolate Chips

1 Cup Chopped Almonds or Pecans

 

Melt butter and sugar in large pot

Once melted add water and Karo syrup

Cook on medium heat until hard crack stage (300°)

Pour onto greased cookie sheet

Spread chocolate chips and let melt, about 5 minutes

Spread chocolate with spoon and sprinkle with nuts

Allow chocolate to set then break into pieces
